Background As a young Kumo-nin (Cloud ninja) Karite was proud of both his clan and his village. When the Fourth Great Ninja War started with the destruction of Otogakure (Sound village) and the fall of Pain and Akatsuki (sorry spoiling but...) Karite joined in with his team to fight Amegakure (Rain village). During the battle he lost his friends and the love of his life. During this time he found the secret scroll that explained a second stage of his clans bloodline, a way to defeat death it self. He sacrificed his own soul to the Death God (Shinigami) and gained an immortal life and more powers. Unfortunately he discovered the side effects to, his body started to decompose until it just was the basic skeleton form left of him. Living with the eternal pain of a decomposing body but not die of it was a living hell for Karite, he spent all his time to find a way to escape from his hell. By killing his own sister, Mikohime, he gained his physical body back, but with the effect of still being immortal (only at strike to the heart can kill him).
After the killing of his sister Mikohime he fled the village and become a Missing-nin (an exiled and wanted ninja) and started to travel the world to find a way to return his sister back to this world. Thanks to this he does evil deeds to gather enough power and knowledge to bring her back to life.
